The kkk knife is stamped "old rame" and the other is a stamped Case XX.
I need information on both,date ,and any other info you have. Whats up with the "OLD RAME" stamp on the Case kkk knife in the box,i know it was not made by Case,it has German steel onthe front tang.

Back in the 1960's or 70's "someone" had a batch of yellow handled Case Knives altered with the KKK initials after-market with markings on the display box to match. I'm betting that's where your box came from and the less expensive German KKK knife was substituted later. While I think I'm correct, I'll defer to any expert that is more familiar with these knives.

Not an expert by any means but I have a Case Trapper with black scales marked with the KKK logo and it was in an original Case box.Supposedly made for SMKW although I can't conform that.Here is a pic of the knife less box.

As you've shown, there are many other examples. I just cited the one I knew of. It's pretty clear the knife doesn't match the display box though. Also, I can picture SMKW having some of those made in the past, but I don't think it would bode well for them today. Just saying the media would jump all over it. I wouldn't mind a little better picture of the fixed blade one though. Interesting blade shape.

Bob: Here is a picture of one that I have that is very similar to the OP's knife.The raised area on the spine is(I believe)used as a hammering surface to cut through joint areas in meats.The one shown is marked,"Englishtown Crafts" whomever that may be.

I agree that the organization is questionable at the very least. This particular knife was given to me by my son's best friend who got it and a whole bunch of other less offensive knives when he cleaned out a neighbor's house who had recently passed away.
I had a couple other KKK knives that were German made that I wound up giving away to my brother.Don't know what he did with them.
I also have several Nazi daggers from the second world war and I don't display them either.I appreciate them for the workmanship of the knife and not their association with Adolph Hitler.
I have an old German toledo scale style knife advertising Bayer Pharmeceuticals along with several other German companies.Upon doing research to find out about the other companies I stumbled upon some fascinating(and quite troubling)history.
Turns out these companies were subsidiaries of the giant I.G Farben conglomerate that was primarily a munitions supplier to Germany during the two World Wars.A couple of the other companies were Agfa and GAF.One was a camera maker and both were suppliers of film.
Bayer has a really incredible history.Not only were they the first to introduce heroin as a substitute for morphine(originally introduced into children's cough syrup and not removed until 1971!) but they were also the inventor and major producer of Zyklon B gas which was used in the crematories in the concentration camps. They also invented and introduced(in 1943) the drug we all know as methadone;again a substitute for morphine, As a side note the technical name for methadone is Dolophene which was named for.....drum roll please... Adolph Hitler.
Might make you think twice before taking another Bayer aspirin when you have a headache.
