Camillus 1006

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Camillus 1006

I have a knife saying it is a 1006 which is the American wildlife series filet knife. How can that be

..very good question!!.. wish I knew the answer??...from the photo ,it looks like my #1007(4 1/2" blade.....maybe someone who knows more about the fixed blade Camillus knives will chime in??.......... ::shrug:: .............

This model is made ​​from the 60s to 1974, before #1006 Wildlife (1976-1990)
