Got Another Northwoods Beauty!

8) Just received this Northwoods pre-ban Ivory Gunstock from Forensic

Jim. Of course my scan doesn't do the Ivory justice. You really have to

see it in person to appreciate it's richness. I have to say this is the third

knife I have purchased from Jim and all three of them have been about

as close to flawless as possible! ::tu::

Its a beauty Mitch!

Got the stag version coming from Jim in a couple days, myself.

It'll go with my wife's Northwoods stag half-congress.

They are just big, solid, beautifully finished knives.

Very top notch knife. I have just the place to set her and show her off for you.

I only own one real ivory knife and she could use a friend next to her.

There where only 10 of these knives made by Northwoods and I think Jim

8) Thanks! Bill and Useem; You know these pre-ban elephant ivory handles are

becoming rare in production made knives. I know alot of custom knife

makers still use elephant ivory and they charge a small fortune for their

pieces! So to answer your question, I don't think I will be EDCing this

one anytime in the near future. ::nod:: Maybe my Grandson will carry it

around the year 2025 :mrgreen:

Hi Mitch that is a fantastic addition to your collection, wow really nice...It looks as mint as mint can be. ::tu:: ::tu:: Northwoods makes as nice a pocket knife as anyone out there, enjoy and thanks for sharing..

How many ivory's do you have in your collection now???

8) Thanks! Ralph; I know you have alot of Northwoods Knives, so you

know how good they can be! ::tu:: To answer your question I have collected

only 3 Elephant Ivory knives so far. 1 Northwoods, 1 Northwoods

(Scagel) and 1 Marbles (USA). ::nod:: I have had my eye on a couple of

Customs but I haven't pulled the Trigger yet.


p.s. I do have several Mastodon/Mammoth Ivory Handled Knives but they are just not the same as the good old African Elephant :mrgreen:

Those are great looking knives. Where are the Northwoods made?

Thanks Forensic Jim, They look like awesome knives and that scagel 7 you have in youe store has a great looking handle

The man who bought that is Don Franklin. Very nice gentleman. He had already bought one for his son and for him to keep. Apparently his other son found out and he wanted one too. Said his high bid was $220.00. He's going to really like them when he gets them.
