Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Flea market was good to me last month. Found the ebony a weekend before the bone one. Sometimes the stars align.

Dang Fonz. Those are two beauties. Have you ever been to that big flea market down south of Elgin by St. Charles? At what flea market did you get those?

BTW, good to see ya posting again.

I'm glad to be back. I was planning a wedding with my now wife for the past year. Luckily I had time to knife hunt but not post.

I go to the kane co flea every month. It's really hit and miss like any other market. I've been bugging vendors for knives for so many years now they sometimes keep them off to the side for me.

The ebony was found down in sandwich il and the bone in centreville mi while I was traveling on business.

I spend waaaaaay too much time out treasure hunting.

...I have no idea how to find it, it's either on this thread or the Camillus 72 thread, but someone (jerryd or orvet) posted pictures for me of a Camillus swell-center pen(3 5/8" closed),long oval shield, I called it a half whittler, but the primary blade was stamped "14")-I have never seen another one like it- I'm beginning to suspect it was a "lunch-box special"!!!.......... ::tu:: .................

Interesting carrmillus, re: that #14.

I've been on a Camillus kick lately. Here is a well used #69 I just got yesterday.
Had to straighten up the main blade tip and clean and lube it. Great snap on main and spey.
Decent snap on the sheep, which sits a little proud, but not as good w+t as the other two blades. All in all a good user for under $20 delivered. Throwing in a few pics of the Jacks for laughs.

Producer -- I just love these #14s. They're inexpensive and such a nice little knife (3¼" closed). I have a real problem avoiding them. I've had six but gave away two of them, one in the last POS exchange (it was not a POS). These are the four I have left. The bone handle one was an accidental purchase and quite a nice surprise. They're numbered in the order in which I acquired them.

I have a few Camillus 72s plus some 72 clones. The picture is a little dated. The center folder is now filled (overflowing) and a couple more are in the mail.

WOW!
What an amazing collection jerry. That's like over 70 #72's you've acquired?

The Stanley one is interesting. Just a great accomplishment. Congrats, producer.
