Nice knife, and you take great pictures
Thanks for all your comments It is one of my better photos.
Heres a few tips for anyone who may be interested. Its best to take photos outside in well lit shade or even better (easier) on a completely overcast day out in the open.
Its also important to use the macro close up setting on the digital camera, I think this is a really common mistake and easy to fix.
In the above photo I took the photo just inside the open garage door in the shade and still managed to be able to get the sky reflecting off the blade. You will have to move the camera around while watching the shadows and reflections on the blade change as you do. The best photo of a knife is rarely if ever taken directly parallel to it but on a slight angle as above (re notice Smith & Wesson written on blade is seen due to angle).
I find it enjoyable to experiment and this way I can keep the knives all locked away and still display them in the photos.
One last tip, turn the knife upside down when you take the photo and then turn it up the right way when on the computer.
Try it and post some pics, it works.
