Hey guys,
Does anyone know what a knife like this might be worth, I'm thinking about buying it...
2004 170th Anniversary Kissing Crane Bowie Knife w/stag handles in case.
The reason I ask is because a friend of mine runs a monthly antiques auction and this is one of the items he has for this weekend. I was wondering if it's worth bidding on and if so how much should I top out at.

Hi. I bought one exactly like that one for $80 at a flea market a few months ago and ended up selling it on ebay about 3 weeks ago for $115. I have seen people list them on ebay as a buy it now for much more than that. I hope that helps you out. Also I would like to say that this knife is not an original Robert Klaas Kissing Crane even though it has that name on the blade. This knife is one of the ones made in Solingen Germany but it was made by Boker for United Cutlery which bought the rights to the Rob Klaas Kissing Crane name after the Klaas factory went out of business. United Cutlery went out of business last year and the current line of Kissing Crane knives are made in China. BTW not all of the United "era" Kissing Cranes were made by Boker some models such as the "Coal Miner & Black Angus" sodbusters as well as some of the less exspensive fixed blades were made in Italy. Sorry for the long winded post just thought I would give you a little background on the brand since you are thinking about buying one.
