Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Nice knives guys.
It's really nice to see what others carry and have experience owning/using.
I am working inside today am I'm taking the Colt [carbon]Trapper again.
It slices open cardboard boxes wonderfully.
I must say it's built well. Very sturdy. Thick swedged blades.
It's a really nice knife with no negatives I can see as yet, regardless of origin.
I haven't had to sharpen it yet with light use so far.
My original pics.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Rides just fine in the pocket my friend for a 4-1/8" knife. I may not be the best guy to ask though. I have some original CASE sheaths (one is a oldie) and 99% of the time, I slip my XX 6165 Hunter (posted 2 pages back) and my XX 6265 Hunter right in the LFP. I EDC these two quite a bit. Those suckers are 5-1/4". I don't mind a sheath carry but pocket ride never really is a consideration for me when I select a carry or two for the day. Unless of course I am wearing dress slacks, which is not often, usually to go to a funeral unfortunately. Everyone does it different, just the way I do it.jmh58 wrote:zp4ja wrote:Hard to keep up with this thread. Nice ones guys!
Carried the 6165 for 4 days now, time to switch up.
Two CASE yellows today...
Jerry.. How is the 99 in the pocket?? Or does it ride on the belt in a pouch?? John

I wholly agree you can't go wrong with a Kershaw.
But I'll go farther and say the upmarket ZT knives are swell as well. This booger gets SERIOUSLY sharp! When I do the finger pluck test if I side slip at ALL I'm cut!
And I have TOUGH fingers!

Taking my daughter to enjoy the rides at Carolwind's this weekend; I always carry stainless steel to theme parks so I am prepared to get soaked (she loves to see a ride get me soaked!) - carrying this Buck 303. OH

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Nice ones june.
I have a CRKT Edgie2 that I really like. I think I'm the only one that likes it's self sharpening thing. That one you just got looks to be another great find from CRKT.
Going to the ocean so I got some Spyderco rust proof coming along with the H1 Salt and little H1 hawkbill. The H1 really is rust proof!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Josh -- So it's supposedly a fake M&G? Any idea what made it a fake? In my eye, it's a fine looking knife. With all the scratching on the tang stamp, it's too late if it's not a fake. That bone is gorgeous and I love the cut of that long spear main.

ZT301 and a Spyderco Delica Clipit that I traded for with another one of our members (it's up to him if he wants to be named). I have never held a Spyderco knife so my reason for the trade was to see if the hype about Spyerco products being so well made were true before I buy a more expensive model. I'm here to say that it is true. Now I'm sniffing around something with H1 steel because I'm out on the saltwater at least twice a week. It will have to be able to tail a shark and cut anchor line if needed. I know a serrated blade could do it but I just don't like a totally serrated blade.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I've been carrying this all steel model Tidioute #15 for the last week or so, working it hard, putting it through some longs days and giving it some heavy use. Working in a restaurant kitchen it is exposed to all kinds of liquids and food items so there is quite a bit of "patina" and staining on the blades already. I bought this one to use hard though, so I'm not babying it at all. Even accidentally dropped it twice with no damage done. So far so good
Love this blade combination too, very useful.
(These pics were taken right after I got it, so it still looks shiny and new)
