Russel barlow project

Post by 0078 »

I have had this russel for some time now, I've been looking for one with decent skin and no luck. My question is does anyone know if another manufacture skin would make a good match? Thanks for any replies

Unless you can find another knife with a good handle you are probably out of luck.

If I were doing it I woud replace both handles with new bone.
It is really difficult to match old handles with new material.

I'm pretty sure I've got some extra scales that would look good on your knife. They are from original Russel barlows. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow.

I looked thru my Russel scales and almost all are cracked or broken. I found one good one, but it's not the side that you need.
