Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

There you go again, makin' me drool ::drool:: ::drool:: ! Larry do you ever find a knife that is not in what looks like mint condition? You need to post an ol' junker or even a "used" one ever once in a while to make some of us feel better  .

Thanks for showing the other display board ::handshake:: . I wasn't able to blow the pics up enough to see the tang stamps enough to have a clue about the age of the knives. What era do they fall in? Again, that is just an amazing find ::tu:: !

Nothing rare or awe-inspiring by any means, but a nice solid old 8 dot Case I just got in. Always been a fan of this pattern. Fished her out of the bay for 20 bucks, so I'm pretty happy with that.

Mike my freind, don't sell yourself short, awesome knife at a great price.

I carry an old TESTED 91048 and I love it. The 048 is a great pattern although not a huge fan of the 62048 with the long spey. At 4-1/8", slim frame and long slim blade, SSP blade that comes sharp and holds and takes a great edge, what is not to love? Use mine in the garden all the time. Great features for light to medium cutting and finesse work.

That knife at 20 bucks is a great pickup, in my opinion. Nice knife.

Another fantastic specimen Larry! I have the 6247 J pattern on wish list and almost never see one.

When you mentioned hard to find did you mean something specific like Tested Rough Black 6247 J or were you referring to more general like 47 J ?

Thanks Tim and Ralph for the kind words.
A Dealer on the East Coast recently bought a large collection and he sent me a list of the knives and being mostly a Case's Trapper and Big Stockman collector myself that was what I was looking for, but he has already sold those. I look at the list again and saw the Tested 6247 J and another one that would satisfied my knife wants for a while.
Here is a Case Tested XX 6347 HP LP Early Rogers Bone
