Looks German to me, that's just my thought on it. That was the first thing I thought when I saw the pic you posted.

My guess would be fairly early Pakastan.

Usually, those Indian and Pakistani fakers sort of allude to a famous Sheffield maker.

This knife has the proper name and Nowell's touch marks.

If that's a Nowell, it's very early. Goins' dates their start date as 1848.

But, that's a very crude knife for 1840's Sheffield manufacture.

Dimitri is scarcely wrong in these matters, So now I'm not as sure as I was that this is an Eastern made fake.

But, it still looks awfully crude for a 19th century Sheffield knife.
