The Pictures That Count BEWARE

Post by Hukk »

Watch out, There are a couple of these knives being sold as Bulldog knives. They are not, they made in Pakistan from junk steel. Loosely based on the Case Clasp pattern, in dimensions only.

In picture 5 of the sellers auction you can see a word under stainless and can't make it out. It is Pakistan, 1 bid going at $19.95, real value is 10-12 dollars at BEST. ::doh::

Here is a clear picture of the tang that the seller is hiding.

Here is a picture of the box that the seller won't show, despite all those pictures

This knife is on there all the time Hukk, somebody always takes the bait it seems. I have seen that knife in person and $10.00 would be about $7.00 more than it is worth. ::td::

Yep, come to think of it the best thing about this knife is ::doh:: well, I guess maybe the carboard box. Notice how the seller deliberately hides the fact that it is from Pakistan. That is by design, not a mistake or oversight, the seller definitely knows it is from Pakistan, cause if he can write the listing he can read the box. ::barf:: ::td:: Deceitful and dishonest practice, IMO. ::td:: ::td:: ::barf:: ::barf::

LOOKS LIKE HES LISTING WHAT IT IS! hes not saying its a case or fighting bulldog. hes saying it a old smokey bulldog which is exactly what it is! they also make a buffalo too. theyve been around many years. i had one just like it in the early 80's . but your right about being poorer grade of knife. it was made cheaper, cost less too.

Yep, I agree completey, except that he seems to be hiding that it's made in Pakistan which is easily seen on the box and the tang - if he would remove some of the oil that's on the work Pakistan. You can see it if you enlarge it though.

I don't see any mention of it being an imported knife. Some folks have been duped into buying this knife thinking it was something else. That's how I got this one, a buddy bought it thinking Case, add was similar to this. I took it for show and tell, not all are aware of these Paki knock-offs. Fortunately it is not an expensive mistake for those who are not aware.

If he was completely honest he'd say it was from Pakistan, which is very plain for him to read on the box.

Omitting the truth is the same as lying in my book.

I put this in this forum, primarily not that it is a counterfeit, but 100% honesty is not there.

The real test is we all all ask him a question, which would be country of orgin, see if he answers, and see if he posts the question if he gets asked enough times.

If you can't even put it in black and white. ::shrug:: If the seller can't put it there in black and white, I would have absolutely no problem with leaving negative feedback if he did not take back the knife + shipping. This is assuming I would be so foolish as to buy this knife. ::nod::

Here's another I found tonight. $29.99 and has a bid. Notice on the pic of the box the bottom is folded over. No mention of origin anywhere in the description.
