Just wondering why you can see the pivot pins in the bolster so easily. I have this same knife and the pins are 99% invisible.

could indicate the knife has been stressed, taken apart and or overbuffed.

john hit the nail on the head! looks legit too me. sometimes them big knives were used to pry on stuff a little. years ago the knife was a knife not a cherished keepsake like it should be now. sometimes that buffing wheel will show the pins, take the old tang stamps off ect. thats why i dont buff. THATS SOME NARLEY OLD STAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

could be sunken from using it to pry, or the pin could have been replaced at some point in time.

It's been interesting watching this one. Apparently the visible pivot pin hasn't dissuaded many buyers . . . the knife's up over $300 now with still about two days left. Should be interesting to see what it sells for.
