Seller is one to make extravagent sales pitches in my observations and many won't buy from him. Seems like he would sell ice to eskimo's if he could turn a profit.
That's just an opinion I get from reading the Dude's packages.
He usually has some picth, possibly there is something he may of overlooked on this knife, but I'm told that may be a first.

If you watch, this is a typical listing for him. Always the same !!!!!!!!!!!Maybe he is selling ice to the eskimo'smarcinek wrote:Oh...that kind of "them."
Thanks Hukk!
But come on...his desciption of the knife is full of exclamation points! Its gotta be an extraordinary knife if all those exclamation points are warranted.
Dont you think?

He probably has 10 of these knives, so he has his shill bidders bid up the price on the first, so next time the less experienced collectors might actually believe thats what it worth, and on the next one,he can say "i saw one go for 700 bucks last week",
, or i might just be speculating, because hes an idiot.

In days of old, "they" were called snake oil salesmen; nowadays, just snakes!
I've tried and tried to warn people (buyers) about this guy, to no avail. He keeps coming up with more knives and new or overzealous buyers. There is no doubt he also shills.
I'm guilty of overpaying for knives (you know, that one you just have to have), but what goes on in this guy's auctions is just wrong.

Howdy knifer friends,
I see this seller has hit the "Head Lines" once again, America's most wanted (in the hobby anyway
) ....There are other sellers out there that are not so well known that use misrepresentation also friends that are not as dramatic but use false claims to draw in a rookie that does not "know the know" on what they are buying. After a quick morning scan of eBay I found these two ----> eBay item numbers #120149168796 & #140145230021, check them out & tell me your thoughts on these knife auctions Guys & Gals?

Yeah, the Bulldog is all wrong. It should have a bowtie shield, if it were a Prototype. The shield thats on there is from 1995 production BKC 1013. Prototypes had a bowtie shield and they ARE NOT RARE! They used 30 different celluloids with 7 of each celluloid and that makes 210 PROTOTYPES! That goes to show you why I customized my prototype in addition to cracked celluloid, currently my avatar, not much longer since my son has it.
In a nutshell the Bulldog is a FAKE. It is a PRODUCTION BKC 1013, 1 of 84 with phony Protyotype engraving.
FAKE!
EDIT: By the book Prototypes had a Reverse frosted Pit Bull etch. I'm not sure the book is correct, the one I had in the avator had a bowtie shield but an African Elephant etch. The book does not list a celluloid for this only Pearl. You can BET I wouldn't remove pearl, the production one books at $300.00!

Missing
The only thing missing here ia a picture of some side show snake oil peddler complete with a hooked cane to draw them suckers in. I don't buy from him, and he can't buy from me. I blocked him and all off his shill bidders a while back. Had to warn a friend of mine the other day about a knife that he was interested in bidding on. He thought it was a Case Classic Trapper. The listing title said Classic Case, and had a picture of a stag stockman with a Case Classic box. Further on in the listing it said it was a Trapper, when in fact it wasn't. The stag was like we will never see the likes of again soooo bid now.......bid to win....bid like hell you dummies!!!!!
RIP Johnnie Rotten
So far, so good...So What!!

I hate Ebays thing with replacing names with actual bidding histories with numbered bidders. No good seems to come of it. Always makes me suspicious.
OK.. what I have done here is click on the bidders on this item. I find that Ebay provides this information on bidder number one:
Bidder 1
Feedback: 50 to 99 • 99% Positive
Registered on eBay: Between 1 and 2 years
Bids on this item: 11
30-Day Summary
Total bids: 353
Items bid on: 78
Bid activity (%) with this seller: 94%
Bids to unique sellers: 8
Bids in unique categories: 7
Bid retractions: 1
note that the bidder has, in the past thirty days, made a total of 353 bids on 78 items. A whopping 94 percent of those bids were for the seller of the above knife. Note also he has retracted one bid. Ebay does not tell us which seller and or item he retracted his bid on. A classic shill move is to bid just a bit too much.. then retract.
Here is the information provided by Ebay on the winning bidder:
Bidder 3
Feedback: 100 to 499 • 100% Positive
Registered on eBay: 1 year or less
Bids on this item: 4
30-Day Summary
Total bids: 133
Items bid on: 55
Bid activity (%) with this seller: 27%
Bids to unique sellers: 14
Bids in unique categories: 14
Bid retractions: 0
I don't know what you can glean from his information. A new collector? In the past 30 days, 27 percent of his bids have been with this seller. Perhaps he has purchased a knife from the seller and he trusts him. Anyway, he is the lucky winner.
Finally, let's look at bidder number 2:
Bidder 2
Feedback: 100 to 499 • 100% Positive
Registered on eBay: More than 5 years
Bids on this item: 3
30-Day Summary
Total bids: 42
Items bid on: 24
Bid activity (%) with this seller: 7%
Bids to unique sellers: 9
Bids in unique categories: 5
Bid retractions: 0
My take on him: A collector of Case knives, but he knows when to fold.
I am not slandering anyone here. I am not making claims of dishonest behavior. I will state that there are questions in my mind and I think the information I give above, from Ebay itself, justifies those questions. I am reporting the seller to Ebay immediately because I suspect shill bidding.

Here I go again... I just checked the sellers other auctions. High priced knife, so once again we have the bidders numbered. And here is the second highest bidder:

Based on the information I have given in my first post, is this bidder familiar to you?

good luck, the new system almost guarantees sellers a way to hide shill bidding and makes ebay more $.
they claim the new system protect big $ bidders from fraudulent second chance offers. is that rain?, or is ebay pi**ing on us.

Knife
Classic Case you are exactly right. That knife is definitely not a Classic. Wrong shield, not a 1050, and it has the lightening SS'S. I guess the bottom line with eBay is they don't care what he does, even if it's fraud, as long as they get their fees. What a shame, it's too bad their priorities are just about the money. I'm sure people have complained about him, but it doesn't do any good.
