The Utica was a shadow bolstered knife with off-gassing cell handles. I used the tip of a domestic cow horn to make new handles.
The Kent had shrinky dink handles. I made my own version of a glitter celluloid, using clear acrylic sheet. I plan to do a little more experimenting to see if I can create different patterns using this process.
The slabs came from a stag round off of an old tool handle. Probably about 100 years old. That's the natural color, no toasting!
