SINGLE BACKSPRING and thin scales certainly make it an ideal EDC.

i think 1970 was the last year for bone and maybe 71-79 for delrin. there is one on ebay but it's wore out.

Case made the 06244 through about 1980 or 1981, all after mid 1970 were delrin only.

They have made basically the same knife in yellow handles since about 1978....they changed the pattern number to 32087 Pen. It is still in the current Case line up, available in both CV and SS. On the curretn version, the handles are boxy, not nicely rounded like on the old ones.

The 62087 is a jack knife pattern, that is both blades are at the same end.
Ditto for the 22087.

Both of these patterns were in production through the 1970's and 1980's and into the 1990's. After the early 1980's they were both converted from CV blades to stainless steel blades. At some point in the 1990's, the 62087 was discontinued, but the 22087 is still in production.

The 06244 has an identical fram to the 62087, but is a pen knife styl, one blade in each end. Ditto for the 03244.

The 06244 was in production from the XX years through about 1981. The ones made from 1971 on had delrin handles and CV blades.

The 03244 was introduced in 1978 in two variations. The 03244R had a bail and was part of the new "Gentleman's Line". There was also a standard product 03244 with no bail.

After a couple of years, the 03244R was discontinued. The 03244 stayted in the line.

Since the 03244 was made on the same tooling (for the frme and blades) as the 62087 and the 22087, Case changed the pattern number for the 03244 to the 32087 Pen. "Pen" was used to distinguish it from a "jack" pattern. This change was made I believe in 1996 and was documented in the CCC newsletter at the time.

The 32087 Pen stayed in the line (in CV steel) and in recent years a second one was added in stainesss steel.

When I was at the Queen's Knife Show I asked many collectors what knife did they have in their pocket. (Collectors and dealers)

I was amazed how many did not have a knife in their pocket. More than 70% did not have a in pocket knife.
The ones that did sure wanted to tell you all about it. They had a BIG smile on the face telling about them.
I even remember 2 old men that had Queens knives as a EDC.
One was even a Mother of Pearl. The blades had rust on them from his sweat but she was sharp and worn. The Pearl was pinned he liked that a lot. It seemed that the most cared knife in pocket was a Swiss Army Knife on their key chain.

I just wanted to share this with you all.
