I have a Remington R 6 fixed blade.

On the blade she has a strange spot its round. It's on both sides.
What is the for ?

I think it is a place to put your thumb when skinning and you index finger goes in the notched out piece on the spine of the blade near the tip. Like a choked up grip for using the tip with better control. at least thats what it seems like to me ::shrug::
