Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Ray, the stuff you pull out of your archives never ceases to amaze me. I was beginning to get a little anxious as I scrolled through those Camillus knives but then was relieved to see you do have a #72. Good show old chap. ::tu:: It wasn't the only one I was admiring but you know I'm just a little nutty about that pattern.

They are made of wood.As far as I can tell it is an original knife and not one of the re-issues even though it is in fantastic shape.

I've got one just like it, in unused condition, but it does not have the USCG Approved stamp on the back of the tang. Pretty beefy knives ::tu::

Sure did Tommy, K7K's is the same way. Crow's foot would be a good way to describe it.

Kasey -- That italicized tang stamp is generally accepted as being from sometime in the 1970s to sometime in middle to late 1980s.

I've bought a couple of those knives (CAMILLUS, no underline - just post WWII, 1946-?) and had them rehandled. They are very good knives and still available for just a little bit of money. ::tu::
