Problem solved. The other guy made a mistake and does not have the same serial number as mine. He has now corrected.

Send a message to the other person with the same serial number and ask if they would check it.If it is the same send a message to GEC asking how could someone have the same serial number .
I would like to see their answer.

I did msg the other seller, but haven't heard back yet. I am going to try to contact GEC tommorrow.

Would appreciate any posts from anyone else who reads this thread, even if it's just to say you've never heard of that before, or especially if you have heard of this happening before and know the explanation.

Thanks

The other seller's knife is #25. He listed it as #23 but if you enlarge the pics you can see that it's #25.
We do have one member here that says he has duplicate serial #'s from a couple years ago. It's the only other time I have heard of it.

Here is the link to the other thread, but IH did not ever post an answer as to wether the two knives actually ended up having the same serial #...... http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... lit=serial

Thanks IM. Even when I enlarge the photograph, I cN't tell what it says 100%, but maybe you onto something there. I just emailed the guy again, and he hasn't responded yet. I'm hoping he'll respond and make the change soon because it doesn't do either of our sales any good.

Thanks for your reply IM!
