Loving the GEC scout. That pattern may be my next conquest.

Not much going on on a Friday night. I can tell from the event logger.

Gino, those GECs are pure "eye candy!"

Today, I'm carrying 2 1970s-vintage Bucks... one in my pocket & one on my belt.
No wonder, I was an early adolescent at the end of that decade. So, no surprise that I love carrying knives from that era.

Bill here is another on of my Wm Henry's. This knife has a titanium frame with a special treatment that I can't remember what its called. It also has top of the line MOP handle, a high tech ZDP 189 sandwich type Damascus blade, and Australian Opal's for both the thumb stud and button lock. This is a very limited edition and it's actually more like a piece of art and no I never carry it. William Henry started here in the surfing town of Santa Cruz CA but moved up to OR several years ago.
Before I say the next thing please know that I only have the highest regard for true customer makers and their craft I mean no disrespect. Their knives are not considered custom made by most custom knife makers but I don't know what you call a knife that can cost over $20 grand (no not mine). Their knives usually have very expensive adornments and precious metals and stones. Look up their site and they have a pretty cool video by Peter Coyote that talks about the company. Their knives are carried and coveted by several celebrities. The started out with knives but now have expanded to many other high end stuff, http://www.williamhenry.com. Their knives used to somewhat affordable but the cheapest one I think they have now is the one I carry which used to run $250 buy has gone up.

Good looking carries guys! Well while over the weekend in Houston, my wife called and said that my Ken Coats had arrived. Got home a few hours ago and bout fell out when I opened the package. This Jack has all that old world look to it with the proper updates that you expect in a custom knife. Antique Ivory Paperbase Micarta which looks a lot like the old Waterfall celluloid of yesteryear. But without the added dangers that accompany celluloid. With the Federal shield and cut swedge at the tip of the Spear blade, I feel like I got a real gem here! Total length closed is a perfect size of 3 7/8s, Sorry bout the gunk round the shield, I didn't wipe it off very well.

I'll just say, "Wow!" I thought I recognized high-end quality, BladeGuy. But, over $20k for some models?! Amazing! I'll have to look them up when I'm not up past my bedtime. ::zzz::

Perry, that Coats is just stunning! Is that what is know as "Westinghouse ivory"? I was sent some by a customer to use on a knife, now I am eager to get working on that one.

Thanks for sharing that beauty!

A good strong belt tight, if he's like me anymore, no hips for the belt to hang on cause the belly is too big. And I carry more in my normal ED pants. Not quite somany set up in my other pants and shorts, though. LOL

Yes it is, Glenn. Very sturdy but I would imagine the shield pinning would take some extra time to not crack or split the handle. Thanks! ::tu::

None of my knives are very heavy.

I am going to do without the neck knife. It only works well with a 2X shirt. I only have one 2X and a bunch of XL. I'm not sure anything can kick the humpback out of my pocket!
