Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Very close to a 14. The 14 is 3-3/8" closed. Same frame & blades.
Forged on the anvil of discipline.

Wow, 1977 huh?
I'm impressed with this one from "90". It has definately seen some hard use but feels indestructable.
I plan on using this one.

Pulled a 'yoink' off the 'bay yesterday. Under 3 minutes left on the listing when
I found it, so I shot from the hip with a bid I fully expected to miss.
Two minutes later and this 'un is headed my way ::ds::

That's what Camillus called the Series. This is from the 1996 catalog.

Royal -- You did much better with your 'yoink' than I did with mine. :(

Ok I just posted this on New Arrivals but it fits here also so here is what picked up yesterday. Its a 4 line camp knife with what I think is a Peach Bone handle. This is a great solid knife with good snap and very little wear. It had a little red paint on it which I managed to get off and maybe it could use a little more spit and polish but for $18 it was a bargain! ::groove::

So I'm on a roll and have a lot of catching up to do so here are few more. Here you have a TL29, Rope knife, and a small two bladed knife with Delrin handles.

Looks like a #14. Rough brown (my designation) handles (I'm not sure if that's very early Delrin or some other synthetic) . Made in the late 1950s - 1960s. Looks to be in very good condition.

The one you called a rope knife is a Rigger's Knife (if the marlin spike locks) or Yachtsman (if the marlin spike does not lock). Given the shape of the bail, I'm guessing Rigger's Knife.

Rigger's knife, I couldn't think of what it was called! I actually had another one but my friend is a sailor so I gave it to him for a present. About the handle on the #14, I've always wondered what the material was myself. How'd you like that Camp knife for $18?

I think what you're calling a "Camp Knife" is actually a WWII Army Air Corps Utility Knife and I like it a lot. For $18, I like it even more. You were looking for a rose and found an orchid.

I thought might have been something like that but in looking up some other patterns from other makers I found one like it that and it said camp, thanks for the correction!
