Hey guys this is my first post so be easy on me as I'm a greenhorn lol... I've recently acquired a Camillus #11 two blade
Barlow and need some info on it. I apologize on the bad photos but had to use my phone at this point.
The name on knife is printed same on both sides, blade stamped 11 on one side and company local on other (New York, USA)
yes I couldn't get that in photo. Knifes in fair shape with no cracks or breaks on handle, slight surface rust with some
pitting on smaller blade.. Thanks for viewing,
Robert

Re: Date my #11 Cam
Welcome to AAPK
! I just dug around in the Camillus pages and there is reference to a #10 and #11 being in a 1948 catalog. Both are a Barlow pattern, the #10 had a spear point and the 11 has a clip point, both listed with brown bone handles. Give that bad boy a bath and oil the joints and it'll make a great EDC

Welcome aboard!
Sometime in the early 1950s they changed the #11 clip master blade Barlow to model #51.
I believe the spear master blade Barlow was changed to #50.

Re: Date my #11 Cam
Hey thanks for the input guys. Maybe it was a good find as I'm a collector of knives but didn't have much info on this nor much on Camillus as I do love them. What's my best method of cleaning?

Welcome to AAPK. Glad to have you aboard.
All I can tell you is my preferred method. Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish (available at any automotive store), 4-0 steel wool and oil (machine oil such as 3 in One, Mill-Rose, etc). If you're going for the shiny new look, well, that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish.

Here is a topic on cleaning: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... er#p236757
You will see the Burchwood Casey gun Scrubber I use on the inside.
It gets the inside nice and clean.
