That #53 Cuban Castro in Dead Skunk came today. Good color on the handles and fast ship, Ken from Blue Creek Cutlery. Wow! She's a big ole Hoosier. Stick this one in your pocket and all the ladies will be impressed. :shock:

In my best Mae West imitation, "Is that a GEC #53 Cuban Castro in your pocket or are ya glad to see me?"

Nice one Mr Marine..... but it don't look like any dead skunk I've ever seen :wink:

Here are pics of my Huckleberry, also from Ken/BCC at the Dalton show. My lousy photography doesn't
come close to doing justice ::facepalm::

This 'un will earn its keep in my pocket.
I'm considering doing the apple cider vinegar treatment. Any yea's or nay's??
::hmm::

Nice royal! ::tu:: I have the single blade version in ebony. I say nay on the vinegar treatment, I say let the knife earn it's patina naturally. ::nod::

That ones on my want list too Royal. Good pickup Bud. I agree with Ryan. Patience grasshopper. Patience. I've done the vinegar thing as a test and it just looked phony to me. JMHO.

Jerry's right, can't speed up a process that should occur naturally over time. Otherwise it just won't look as good... ::shrug::

Great knife Royal ::tu::

I agree with the natural patina but if you want to help it along just use the knife when you have a steak for dinner or cut an apple for a snack, it will help the patina move right along. Plus it's fun to woop out yer own pocket knife at a restaurant and cut yer steak, I do it every time these days as well as at home ::tu::

Nice score MONK! I passed on these mainly because the jig bone didn't really come close to what I thought it should've been.
Love all Jacks
