Anyway, I have 4 of this knife already, CASE 77' 5111-1/2LSSP with engraved bolsters. 1 of 1000 made. This one is a rarer bird, even rarer than the 1 of 1000 production knives, as it does not have a serial number and the knife in hand, certainly is tight and not tampered with. Looks to be a factory error.
The knife is very tight. The serial number was not removed, just never put on. These knives would be difficult to fake with the engraving over the top of the bolster pins.
Another odd and interesting thing I noticed is that the hue/color of the blue scroll does vary slighty from knife to knife. This one is like a blue/grey color.
