Ryan....that #47 in Blackwood is a classy looking knife. I see a few wood options on the latest #42's....the Chestnut looks interesting.

Robert , I have been waiting to see one of those elk 42's how do you like it?
I have heard that there is some blade play issues with them, how is yours?

It looks awesome! ::drool::

This GEC #42 showed up here today. Lockup is tight on it, but the closing snap could be better......it's a little light, even for a lockback.

Here's my #42 trader in absolutely stunning cocobolo. ::super_happy:: sorry so dark, no sunlight. ::facepalm:: I will try and get some out in the sun, but in the meantime... ::shrug::

WOW! She looks awesome trevor! The handles match perfect. ::drool:: Man those are beauties!

I had past issues with GEC stainless knives as far as closing snap as well.

Robert, there really isn't any closing "snap" on the 42LB pattern. It doesn't have a conventional backspring and uses a completely different mechanism that has very little spring tension/resistance. That's why they open so easily for us older guys with arthritic digits. ::shrug::
