Please keep an eye on the steel workers and the cranes!!

(I live near Quincy, MA and know some of the horror stories, like when they "dropped" a part of the big crane when they dismantled it.)
I think I recall driving over a big bridge that looked down into the General Dynamics shipyard back when they were using those giant cranes.
I've got the same trapperlock and gec 15 today.

Been carrying these for the past few months:

Remington reproduction R1128(?) bone handled silver bullet knife circa 1989 made for Smokey Mountain Knife Works by ?.
I question SMKW's pattern choice of R1128 on the tang because it should be R1123 for bone. 1128 should be Cocobolo. I wonder what happened with this error. I don't think they had a Cocobolo reproduction in 1989. Could be wrong.
Does anyone know who made these for SMKW?

And a trusty Royal Brand Scout Knife. In my opinion a good multi tool like a scout is an essential EDC.

Double check with the experts, but I believe Camillus made all these knives.

I know that Camillus made the delrin scaled reproductions but I'm not sure about the silver bullet bone handled ones.

Yup. It was called "Goliath" I think. Eventually sold to ship yard in ?Poland?. They took it apart in pieces, dropped one and it bounced, instantly killing a young steel worker. Have buds in the union. Tough work and they say it happens real fast.

Edited to add: Ah.. romania.

In a more mundane update, happy to have this in pocket yesterday working a non-deadly household project.

Pulled 2 more from the collection today to use as EDCs.

The first one is a TESTED Farmers Knife. Either a B1048 or a 91048. Either way full blade, lighty sharpened and like a razor.

The other is a XX Green Bone 6165 Hunter. Some really cool worm groove green bone, no model stamp with flat blade. I don't sheath this knife either, at least today (first day I carried it though), down in the jeans left front pocket. Not one you run across everyday for sure. Need to put an edge on this one. i submerged this knife in a mason jar of mineral oil for 3 days a few months ago, with only positive effects, in my opinion.

Only 2 slots left in my 24 knife EDC wallet. 2 more and I am done. Unless of course I give one away to free up another slot. More than enough EDCs for my needs.

Regards, Jerry

Trying to love the Tinker as LFP Knife. Don't need an Awl much these days but since I broke the one in my Imperial Scout I am lost!
Hey Dave. I like the patina you have going on the humpback whittler. Did you just use vinegar or was it from cuttin up fruit? I've got a 1095 steel knife coming that I want to put a finish on like the humpback.
