Another Iconic Brand Moves To China

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

News to me Jerry, and thanks. Who owns the name now? Was Coleman. Has anyone else seen the decent bone handled Coleman knives stamped Seki Japan?

Yes. I guess I didn't make my red arrow large enough in the bottom picture.

As I understand it, Camillus purchased the Western brand from Coleman (sometime in the '90s??). As Vit said, both brands are owned by Acme United.

What arrow? Well, I always made it a point to buy Western knives marked Boulder Colo.Hmmm… and then the old Camillus building burns down ::hmm:: and now all of the names owned by Camillus now owned by ACME popping up in China…. Kinda fishy. Lame to say the least
