Paris Bead knife

A buddy in Ohio came up with a knife stamped Paris Bead, Chicago Ill
I do not have a pic of it
Its a big stag Coke Bottle pattern handle
It has 1 clip blade and a big square tool with a notch in it
Looks like the Ka-bar, Marble's Pocket Chopper type pattern
Came in a fringed belt sheath
Anybody knows anything I would appreciate any info,
buddy is elderly and cannot get me a pic, he was just pumped up at finding this in a gun/knife show he made it too

Paris Bead and Novelty house 1941-1942 I've only seen Celluloid handled knives with that brand and I've only seen 2 patterns. A coke bottle hunter and a coke bottle fishermans knife. Goins` only mentions those 2 years… My guess is that it's a rehandle due to broken or outgassed cell handles.

I might add that I am frequently wrong and lack experience in lots of areas of cutlery. They very well could have made stag handled knives.

I agree with RedDirt. I've never seen a stag handled Paris Bead knife.

I have seen a mini-chopper two blade, as well as a large coke bottle and toothpick.

Might be all original, and it would be a great find if it is.

I wonder what the pocket chopper squared of like blade is ???
Some kind of tool cause it has a square type notch in the side of it
Ol boy he bought it from said he had it almost 50 yrs
So this company only was in operation 2 yrs ???

Here are a couple pics of mine which is in really poor condition.It is made rather cheaply;even going so far as to have "shell" style rear bolsters.They are formed by stamping the liner into a convex shape.The front bolsters are soldered on.When I first saw it I thought it was an old Imperial and I have a feeling that Imperial might have made them as I have a couple of those that are very similar.The blades of the Imperials are different but the frame looks identical.

Way he said Charlie, looks just like your coke bottle chopper, only with a 1/4 in notch on the
back side opposite where the cutting edge is, and its smooth old stag, 5 pins

Kinda like the Case x-changer sheath, only with fringe on it

I suspect that 1/4” notch was a Prest-O-Lite key for opening and closing the acetylene gas supply on early carriage and automobile headlamps.
