Your link doesn't go anywhere, so it is not possible to give a good answer, but I know that HERDER is the name of a cutlery in Solingen, Germany; I see many old kitchen knives with that name.

Herder is a german usa made knife, based out of Philadelphia. I have a mop herder knife I will post it as soon as I can find it. To my knowledge they still might be in business.

I heard that the factory Herder knives were made at in Germany was taken out (bombed) durring WWII… Lots of parts from the factory are floating around. I could have been missinformed of course.

Re: you guys heard of a herder knife
I would think so Denny.
The sheath is not original of course.
The wooden handled Herder lockback sodbusters bring as much as $125 on Ebay.
So i would think that stag would be worth at least $70.

Re: you guys heard of a herder knife
Here is an old Herder I've had for a while and some information I got from Goins encyclopedia.
The blade on my knife has been ground to some degree and I have no idea how it looked originally.
