Now that's some pretty good accounting Dale. But yes, I think that the one you did for me is the one that started the snowball down the hill.
And what a great snowball it is

Grant, I don't think that Door In The Wall guy down in Texas has a single knife that isn't pumped up to 4 or 5 times the price of a normal knife. Is he just sitting around waiting for a fish to bite or does he really have that much of an inflated opinion of the value of his knives?
In all fairness, all his auctions do have the "Or Best Offer" option.

The big supermarket here discounting milk have sent most of the dairy farmer out of the industry.tendots wrote:Seems you have lots of camels down there, very nice bone.I run a small dairy farm so you don't have to tell me about finances
I have never seen a wild camel they live in the centre of Australia.
We export camels to the Middle East .
I been to Western Australia a few times( 3600km ),Seen a lot of wild goats, wedgetail eagles ( the size of turkeys )dingo and kangaroos.
The eagles are eating road kill and are slow to fly so they break a lot of windscreens.
They have airstrips on the highway for the air-ambulance.

Tendots, if you're talking about the pic that I posted, yes, Dale (Orvet) rehandled it for me.

Scott -- That's a very nice start you have going on there. I was a lot farther into the addiction before I got my first bone handle and you appear to have at least two. Nice!!!
Grant -- What a great pile. Are most of them Camillus, Schrade & Ulster? What's the third one in from the right in the top row?
T.J. -- You're killin' me buddy. The only thing I can do is retaliate. I'll see your red bone rehandled Scout
and raise you a Scout rehandled in pre-ban elephant ivory by Wallace Rockwell. (How's that for some name dropping one upmanship?)

Re: camillus #72
Well, I got this one with no markings on it anyplace. It came with a sheet of paper that's marked Whitetail Cutlery. It appears to have been made in the cradle of fine cutlery on the Indian sub-continent by that world famous cutler, Paki Stan and adorned with faux pearl acrylic handles. I know all this to be true because it came from a knowledgable and reliable source for desireable cutlery in Kentucky.tjmurphy wrote:![]()

You can tell I'm proud of that one by Paki Stan, I kept some of the paperwork. There was more but it came on a roll and I've used it all.

Re: camillus #72
Hey fellow 72aholics. Yesterday was a good day for the clone pile.
Brokered a trade with Dave (dcgm4) and got more than I bargained for. The trade was for an Olsen OK USA #25 (72 clone) he picked up a couple of years ago. When it arrived what was actually in the box were three clones. There was the agreed on Olsen #25 plus a German York with bone handles and pinned shield. The third one I have never heard of. It's a German AMPLOUGH #52 with bone handles and pinned shield and "Johnson Wires" etched on the back of the main blade. It looks like it could have come out of the same factory as the York or a German Olsen.
Thank you for your generosity Dave. I'm quite pleased with these new additions to my pile of 72s and their clones.
