It seems as if you can sell it within the USA. I see literally hundreds of items, not just knives and knife handles. I see Charles Turnage of fine_turnage_productions selling worldwide BUT he always says it's from Siberia. Also his other account is or a family members onefossilhunter is selling mammoth ivory just to the United States. I have bought from both and they have the same address. Sleaze-bay
They shut down Banyan Bay they have another account wdwrksltd that has very little mammoth ivory, USA on the ones I looked at, everything else is worlwide.

I read somewhere a few weeks back that the FEDS were cracking down on ebay for "pre-ban" elephant ivory sales that were not legit. I know where a lot of this elephant is being sold on ebay as preban. Better get a couple pieces while I can.

What next hippo and warthog ivory? Better get the cites numbers out for what I bought. ::paranoid::

My feeling is that an individual whined and complained because you had 1 knife where these other guys are power sellers, yet they sell all kinds of ivory. Try a USA only listing. Why worry about a mammoth, the damn things are extinct anyway. ::dang::

Well here is a news link to eBay's new ban on elephant ivory, nothing to do with mammoth ivory though. I guess we need to check their new policies out.

http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9588_22-6188820.html

Most likely it had to do with the following news article which want's to ban ALL ivory sales.

Who knows? We should look into it, I believe Mammoth is to be sold internally in the US. Until I read eBay's policies, I am guessing that only internal sales are allowed, imports, well, I see ebay's tide-mammoth of Hong Kong still selling mammoth scales.

Yeah, I checked a few. One guy is selling some elephant ivory as preban to US customers only and I don't know if they will ban that. A couple more are selling knives with ivory and they are not USA only. I like elephant ivory, but have seen it just about curl off a knife. I have some Hippo and Warthog Ivory and I need to copy down the cites numbers for those.

I do have some interior mammoth ivory that is pure white. But it is mammoth and I feel it is more stable than elephant or hippo ivory. Dang, I got a box of the stuff, better get those numbers.
