We did ALOT of fishing back then. That's probably why some of the ink is gone. Or just wore off.

More Scrimshaw....
I've had this knife since i was in 10th grade. Bought it at Walmart back when they sold good knives. I remember carrying it to school daily and using it to cut things. Nearly every boy had a pocket knife down in his pocket. Nobody got stabbed.
This would land you a nice suspension now.

I believe that nice knife was part of the Great American Outdoors series, looks like 1989. A good knife that still looks ready to go.
Isn't that the disappointing truth about WalMart. My Super WalMart just quit carrying firearms as well as most of the quality knives.

In the cities of California, possesion a knife may get you kicked out of school. The offender would have to go to an alternative school or to the public school where they send the troublemakers. I do not think it as rigid in more rural areas.wildcat wrote:I've had this knife since i was in 10th grade. Bought it at Walmart back when they sold good knives. Times have changed, I carried a knife every day and never thought about pulling it on someone, even in a fist fight. Gee, come to think of it I had a lot of those and a lot of suspensions for that. I was never a troublemaker, I just never had the sense to walk away. Still, I never thought of pulling a knife, ever!

Back in 1981, you would never believe where I bought a Remington 7400 in a 30.06. Was in San Jose, Ca. area and Best Buy sold guns then, CHEAP! That's the one, home of the Geek Squad. Don't know if they all did.
