H.S.B. question

I have this little peanut knife, the pen blade is stamped chicago? My question is what years did they do this and who made the knife? I have a couple other H.S.B and there not tang stamped chicago.

The tang has a valid Stamp. I have a plenty of HSB's but none with that stamping. I speculate that one is well south of the 1855~1960 date it was produced. I could not say who the manufacturer was ::shrug:: BH

Would you know where to find info on h.s.b tang stamps?

The reference I used was Goins Encyclopedia..... BH

Goins is where I was looking also, but mine does not reference this particular stamp. Thank you for the help.

Try page #127 It states that the small blades have HSB & Co with the Diamond over Chicago. It doesn't show a graphic :wink: BH
