The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Here is a litttle kabar fixed blade i got original sheath maked ka-bar union cutlery co olean ny 3 inch blade 6 inch over all anyone have any info on it

I can't help much but they moved to NY in 1911 and the Olean,NY stamp was used up to 1951. Your knife with the Kabar and Union Mark was made between 1923 to 1951. I know nothing of there sheath knives besides I'm sure it is a good knife. Great looking blade.

Yes, I have it`s a boy`s hunting knife.

They were a smaller version of the regular full sized knife.

Yours looks to be in excellent condition ::tu::
