Vintage Schatt & Morgans

Just got this recently. What do you think?

Bret & I went to a Gun show today & we got this Schatt. According to David Clark's catalog books, it is a 1160 pattern. It was made in Gowanda, NY. Schatt & Morgan was only in that location for about 5 years, 1890-1895. It is a real handfull!

Overall is 7 1/2", the blade is 3".

I thought this old thing had some rely nice bone on her minuse the piece broke off so I grabbed it up.

Here is a stag whittler and a pearl whittler.

Does that coping blade have a gentle curve on the spline? If so ,what is the function ,other than aesthetic.Does it align in some patterns better?

Seems an older style blade that I find very appealing,as does this frame. (Dimitri's ®)

I was referring to the curve? on the COPING BLADE. Appreciate your response ,though.

By the way,another beautiful knife.I am starting to appreciate the smaller knives also,as heretofore not as much.

Sorry. I misunderstood. The coping blade spine is straight however.
