Stiddy, thickness of pin edge?

Stiddy, thickness of pin edge?
What is the typical thickness at this point for a stiddy?

Not sure there is a typical thickness. If it's thin enough to fit between the liners then it's probably around a tenth of an inch. I suppose if it were any thinner it may break.

I went with .082" since some springs are only .090" wide - using tool steel so It could be tempered to where
there is minium chance of breaking it.
I actually made one on the other end at .090" for the wider springs.
There is a blue print somewhere around here with the dimensions... just don't know exactly where to find it.

I try to make mine around .070, but taper it 2-3 degrees back towards the radius on the bottom side. If it is hardened and tempered to around 55 to 58 rc (tool steel) there shouldn't be much danger in breaking the horn. That's just my opinion....
