Any guess on this knife?

Post by remington collector »

This knife is going to be at a local estate auction in a coupla weeks. It looks to have 3 backsprings, anyone want to take a guess to what it is? I have no idea. The gun parts are from a Winchester, if anyone would like me to place a bid on them just let me know.

Lookos to me like 2 backsprings then some thick stag/bone, isn't that a Ka-Bar dogs head on there?
Maybe a Jumbo Jack Pattern?
I tried to blow up the pic for a better view.
I don't know enough about Ka-Bars to tell you if they made this knife or not though, but I can clearly see a Ka-Bar dog heads shield.

doesn't look like an old one though, probably a newer remake for a collectors club or the like.

I think MM is spot on.
It looks like a newer one to me also.

The original 1920's era dog heads were only made in large patterns....folding hunters, large hobos, large bullet trapper.

After I saw the enlarged pictures, I can see that it only has 2 backsprings. And it looks like there might be some rust starting to form as well. I guess I'll pass on this one. Thanks.
