I wasn't sure just where to post this, but I thought here was the most appropriate. What we have here is a vintage pair of button hole scissors sold by J B F Champlin I love the GALVANIC stamp too. Nice one David! Here are some of my scissors.
The first pic is of a J.A.Henckels manicure kit.All the non metal pieces are carved from mother of pearl and in a blue velvet lined leather case.
Second one is an old medical kit that has some strangely shaped scissors.It also includes a nickel silver handled straight razor.
The third pic is by Daniel Peres and includes a corn knife and a pair of straight razors.
Last is my real prize:A Joseph Rogers pair of miniature scissors with tiny ivory scales.The unique thing about these is that each piece is made as one piece except for the scale.The blades within the handles are 1 inch long.

I find it fascinating that George Korn of Little Valley fame patented the button hole idea. I am planning on an article about Mr. Korn for a future edition of Knife World Magazine.

This is interesting David. I have seen an old pair of button hole scissors marked Korn's or Korn's Patent or something along those lines.
