Old Cattaraugus Pocket knife

This is the 1st pocket knife I ever owned. Given to me by an elderly friend of my Grandmother in probably about 1965. I was about 6 years old and it had belonged to her late husband.
For many years I had believed it was a Case. Due to two large side by side X's on the main blade. (they don't show in the pics). There are no other blade marking visible to the naked eye. Having apparently worn away. But w/a mag glass, one can faintly make out the words "Little Valley" , which now leads me to think it's a Cattaraugus. The handle panels are Mother of Pearl, w/the chip occuring when I dropped it shortly after receiving it. The blades share a common spring. And even after all these years the blades are still Sharp! The closed length is 3.25"
Can anyone ID the knife model, vintage and possible value? This one's not for sale, but I'm listing some other restorable/parts knives on the Ads page.

it's a case, probably very old. i think case was the only brand with xx on the blade or simetimes the bolster. and they were stamped with little valley. clear pics of the tang and knife would help identify when it was made.

These are the best pics I can manage w/the equipment I have. And even if I had a better camera, the blade markings (except for the 2 X's in the middle of the main blade) are so faint, it takes a mag glass to see them. "Little Valley" is all that can be seen even then. Thanks for your reply.

Closed length is 3 1/4" . But to be clear on the x's. They are on the middle of the blade. Not on the hilt. If you look REAL close. you can see them on the bottom pic.

a pretty little silver band would look nice around the center...
great knife as is

seems like muskratman or somebody had one fixed up like that (with a band)

I believe that Rigwelder got it right. I am in agreement with the Case Bros ID. I have one that clearly shows the XX on the master blade.

yeah, its a case bros. ive got one just like it. infact i have one with the xx on the blade and one with the xx on the back of the tang on the main blade.
