I found this Candy Stripe Boker today , and I had to have it....... at least for a little while.

Very nice pickup Bama

I personally believe that Bokers made in Germany are the most affordable quality knife on the market today. I love the carbon blades and assorted models that are available..They make one heck of an EDC in my opinion...

I have that same boker candy stripe in the trapper version if your copperhead gets lonely...

If you already know this, or if it is how you got that cool knife, forgive me...but...if you go to the Boker site, have them send you a catalog, the catalog will come once every couple of months. Inside the catalog are their specials and there are some pretty good deals among them.

Is that how you got it? If so nice job! Right now they have a carbon stag canoe for $37.50.

Actually I picked up this knife in Cullman AL. at PG Quick Co.
it's a knife store I seen on ebay and he's actually only about 40 miles from my house.

PG Quick sounds great Bama! I'd love to be able to handle a knife before I bought it, but there isn't a knife store anywhere near Chicago (I think).

Thank goodness for knife stores on the internet, but I think I'd love to hang out a while in PG Quick Co. in Cullman AL.

I bet there's some good barbeque around there somewhere...

Nice knife! Actually I have had several dealings with this seller. Always a top notch, first class transaction. Always good to work with them.

. Just last week I acquired a knife stamped with R. Werner, Cullman AL. It is a little half-congress with stag handles. Anyone heard of it? Will try to take some pics.

I enjoy your post marcinek , you make me laugh every time I read one. that part of the joy of this site. GREAT PLACE here.

I have met Mr. Werner in PG Quick Co.'s shop one day , a very nice man he is.

The fellow that owns PG Quick had a partner that passed a way a couple years back maybe longer than that not really sure and his partner was in tight with Boker and I seen several knives one of them a candy stripe trapper that hade Cullman AL on the tang.

Mr. Werner was a great feller. He was who passed away about two years ago. Greg quick (pgquickco) actually worked for Mr. Werner who was a Boker dealer for many years. I have a small display with several Boker patterns all stamped R.G. Werner. Greg may very well have some of those left.

Robert (Mr. Werner) was one of the founding members of the NKCA. He was a very fine man and did much for the knife collecting community. One of my prized possessions is a small paperback price guide he wrote back in the 70's. He sent me autographed copy a few years back. I took it and had Jim Parker, Tony Foster, Jim Sargent, and Bruce Voyles sign it as well.

Thats great info Perry. Thank you , I had half my info right about the partner and the Boker. And I apologize for my mistake. Then man I met in the shop a month or so ago was named Walter Bren that last name might not be spelled right but thats how it sounds and he makes knives as well. Perry may know him and be able to tell you more about him. Anyway he is a very nice fellow and a joy to talk to about knives.

It is Walter Brend...he moved to Cullman a couple of years back. He and Greg hit it off real well so they spend a good bit of time together. Walter is also one of the hottest knife makers in the country. He makes mostly tactical fixed blades and is one of the very few that can sell retail and there's automatic profit in it.

Will do sir! I always like meeting other knife folks, that's one of the reasons I go to so many shows. I usually get up to see Greg a couple of times a year. I plan to get up there sometime this fall and will let you know when I'm coming.
