Can anyone give me any info on this Utica Utility set

I got this is trade last night, the blade is unused and unsharpened, has all the original tools in the original leather zip up case. I can't find anything like this made by utica, any help?

Very similar to the Imperial tool kits, however, this Utica seems to be better made.

Is the handle base shell or solid?

MM I read somewhere that NYKCO made tool sets for Utica, can't recall where I saw this maybe on this forum. I have a NYKCO set that the tools looks like yours they have a punch blade made in the frame rather than the spear blade.

Glenn, the frame consists of brass liners, solid nickel bolsters, and jigged black celluloid scales with spun brass pins. I was pretty happy to add it to my hoard

This is the first utica I have seen, it is very well made and has great walk and talk and all the tools lock in perfectly, the hammer shows light use, you can see the marks on the face of it where they used it as a tack hammer or something, but it is virtually unused, which is odd considering what it was made for. The only thing similar I have seen are cheaper made sets made on contract by colonial and such.

I would love to see a pic of your tool kit by NYKC. I'd like to learn as much as I can about these sets.

marked western germany. in great shape with leather zip-up case. knife is 3 7/8" closed. solid handles with machined engraving. the saw has a protective metal sleeve for protection.
