Remington? R 100 L

Received this to day, when I bought it I thought it was a Catt. Until I started cleaning it. And found the number r 100 l. If it is a remington the stamp is worn, the only thing I can make out is the model number. 4 7/16" closed. Any help would be a appreciated.

Cleaning a little harder r 1163 L. Not for sure? the frame is the same size but they came with two blades?

That frame pattern number is a Remington English Jack. Not sure what the L means. Nice knife. Love the bone on this one.

I have doubts about the knife being legit. I have never seen a pre-1940 Remington that had a liner-lock. Can anybody come up with a book or catalog that shows one of any nature? Try Knife World's Whut Izzit? column by B. Levine for more opinions or try his portion of Knifeforums.com. Make sure you have more pictures and a thick skin to deal with him.

I don't think it is a Remington. I can't find a 1163 made like that at all. It would have threaded bolster and shield. Like was already said none that I have in my books have a lock.
BTW- the 1163 was 4 3/8

Let`s see a pic of the front side with the blade open and a better picture of any tang stamps.

With pictures as they are...not Remington. Possible Camillus??? ::shrug:: As was said, better pics of the full front, blade and front tang area would help a lot. ::tu::

Found my answer its not a remington, rather a catt. 12099 L English jack with a liner lock. Tang stamp is totally gone found numbers on the back in the sun. It is a real nice knife
