Remington blade stamp

Hi. New to collecting. Can a remington knife have different style blade stamps? Eg. one circle with script lettering and the other blade with a block text in the circle? Thanx

I'm not quite sure if you mean different stamps on the same knife...(If so, we'd like to see a picture)...or different knives of the same pattern? Remingtons have been made by others for a long time, (since around 1940, I believe), and many are made offshore now...between that, mistakes, samples, repairs or "cobbled together with parts" knives...maybe anything is possible.
So a picture or two would help.

Thanx for the reply. It is a knife that is on ebay. Same knife each blade has a diff. style circle stamp. Those ebay prices are really high.(or I am I just a frugal NEw englander)

Yes, Remingtons can have a different blade marking on each blade. Sometimes a blade from a previous era was used along with a blade with the current stamping. I have many such knives in my collection. Whats the auction number? We may be able to give a little more info on the knife.

Thanx again. The knife in queston is #6597746286 also #6598848252 looks prety cool. I have a Remington Boy Scout knife that I got at a knife show her inMA that started this whole thing.

That 1853 is correct, and is a nice knife. I have bought several Remingtons from 1959brett and find him to be a honest knife dealer. I would have bid on this one but I already have one in about the same condition. That humpback sure looks nice. The lack of a pattern number, and the way the new looking bone handles meet the bolster along the backspring has caused me concerns of whether that knife is in its orginial configaration . I would proceed with caution on that one. The 3 blade humpback sold last week for over $1200.
