Nickel- -Silver Remingtons

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

That's a nice bunch of knives, RC. ::tu:: I have one and only one Remington and it has N-S handles. NEHI Leg Knife, c. 1930

Remington collector,
that is an impressive collection of knives. I've got a couple of Remingtons with nice bone scales.
I'll be looking for the nickel silver now.

Metal handle knives such as these get very little respect from today`s collectors.

It is a good area to collect as prices do not match the quality of these knives.

Very nice set of knives! I only have one nickel silver Remington but I'd love to have more! I've been seeing pictures of your collections going through the threads and you have alot of very nice knives!
