Well I've been drooling over this one for a couple days... The blood red jigged bone is AWESOME and the slim profile of this #79 is what I like for pocket carry. Just ordered it! :D

PS: is that second blade a wharncliff or sheepfoot? looks like a mix of both

I call the larger blades like that a "sheepcliffe" but that's just my name for them. Since it's a secondary blade and they are usually a coping blade, I think I'm going call this one a "copecliffe".

I can see where you derive the name Sheepcliff - it's sort of a mixture of the two. I like the perfectly straight edge on the secondary blade, easier to sharpen that straight edge than a curve.

Love that blood red #79, got to put that on my list.

The #15 is great as well, have a couple single blades coming in. Yours appears to have nice, thin grinds on both blades. Nice.

And the mail lady was nice enough, to drop these three in the mailbox today !!!!! She is such a nice lady ::nod::_______ I didn't have an Ivory Bone Barlow (I, don't see that many around ???) nor one with the "sheeps foot main blade"" ____so got a couple ------- the Krack-A-Jack, found it's way back ""home"" to South Carolina, after a short visit to sunny California ::nod:: ______ I am more fond of the two blade Barlows, than the single blade, ::hmm:: way I figure, after you cut stuff all day, with the main blade ,you need to clean your finger-nails with the secondary pen ?????? ::shrug:: :)

I modified mine by "dropping" the point of the spey blade; a guy could take a little off the belly too, if he wanted to make it pointier.

I'll do yours for you if you want, Glenn. ::shrug::
I do like that modification, Barry. You've got me thinking now. ::hmm:: Are any of those still available now? Then again, I just got a 72 Cody Jack and it's ohhh so close to what I really want, and it's got those stout springs that I like. If only it had endcaps. ::smirk::

Got these ""New Release"" #73 Scout Slip-Joints ** ____ Ebony,Cocobolo,& Antique Green Bone___as in the past, the backsprings are pretty stout, it varies a little from knife to knife, but all three are "stout" (maybe why Ol' Barry, included a blade pic opener ???)___using these knives and some good oil, will make them more thumb-nail friendly, with time :) ___ jigging pattern & colors on the bone are outstanding !!!!__may have to order me one of the 92's, I didn't get, in this "'Antique Green Bone"" ::hmm:: ____ some decent pricing on these knives (under $75) even the stags are within reason ($104 /$115) ,with this round of knives__just haven't seen a stag that caught my eye ::shrug:: ____ all three came sharp, have great F & F and of course snap like a bear trap****____the ""New Release #72 Lockbacks"" ( all three blades, Clip,Wharncliff, & Spear ) are starting to hit dealer shelves now !!!!!, if interested,ya' better not wait on these too long or they will be gone !!!!!____ have a great day my friends, Monk ::tu::
