MAN that is one nice 119 I gut these three for spares up ta camp Camillus I believe 330-3 1/2,Scrade 141Bearhead and a Kabar1233.

3 to share. Purist should avert your eyes on the first 2 and I'll hope to make it up on the last one.

First up, a Case 316-5 modified to a drop point and blade thinned. Does kitchen duty. Very nice in the hand but I find the Case SS needs to be steeled regularly. Not the hardest stuff ever.

Next up is a Schrade-Walden H-15, again modified to a drop point. This is my camping/woods knife. Wowza!! That 1095 holds an insane edge. This knife makes me so happy.

For those disgusted by seeing modified knives, here's an original one. This one was made by George Mann, my something-great something or another in his factory in northern Vermont. Approximate date is 1880. One of several in the kitchen drawers of my kin. Many relatives in the same village today.

Man Dave just when ya gut me using Opinels in camp ya drop that Case on me

The Opinels slice better. Need to get you a big ol' #10. Case is great in hand though. Needed to be flattened to do anything other than cut meat well. You can see how rounded the hollow grind shoulder is. Thanks for the kind words.

Hi, Here's some pics of what I have and I'd like to find a few more to round out the collection. I would like to find a Case Bradford and a CASE (block capital letters) in the 0600F pattern with good greenbone handles. I also need a Kinfolks and Kin-Foe in greenbone, same pattern. Or others that look to be a Case contract knife with greenbone. I also would be interested in a Ka-Bar 659-5 (or 6) with stag handles. These are tough knives to find and any help getting some of them run down would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks to all, Eric

Thank you, I'm honored that you like them. I have quite a few more with different handle materials, but these are all the bone handled ones I have. I'd sure appreciate it if you have any duplicates that you are willing to sell. If so, email me through this site; I'm putting in quite a bit of time on the computer presently. I've had quite a run for my money fighting cancer for the last ten months but I think this last surgery got it out of me; at least I'm feeling better and more positive about the whole rigamarole and that means I can be more active playing with the knives.

Here's some of the other fish knives I have that are not bone handles. For those of us who grew up prior to all the deep fat frying these knives were commonly used instead of filet knives; the fish were then either pan fried or baked.

I'm putting in quite a bit of time on the computer presently. I've had quite a run for my money fighting cancer for the last ten months but I think this last surgery got it out of me; at least I'm feeling better and more positive about the whole rigamarole and that means I can be more active playing with the knives.

I was wondering where you were, I had not seen you post in quite some time. I hope you are doing better and they were able to get rid of it, no matter how you look at it cancer sucks!

Here is one that I picked up recently, looks hardly used, I have very few with the original sheath so I was happy to see the drop in sheath came with this one.

It's gotten to the point that I'm having trouble finding anything that strikes both my interest and wallet. There's nothing on ebay right now that I would buy to keep in the collection and I've looked it over extensively. Anything else that I've been buying will go back up for sale later this fall when the golf courses and fishin' holes depopulate for the winter. Experience has shown me that the dog days of summer are the best time to find deals on the 'bay.
