This 48 has been with me for a little while now

She has a very strong open and close and great half stop.

Nice one Gino!

I would defiantly carry a 48 single blade.

I can relate to the strong open/close, my 55 is the same way, I hope it loosens up a little over time.
I'm not looking forward to getting caught on the tip of the wharnie, the factory made this one razor sharp!

I changed EDC's again, but this one is the perfect size for my big hands and its a lock blade which is really important to me, you cant even feel it in your front pocket for it 4 3/8" size. I really dig it

I picked this one up a couple of days ago, you just can't beat the price in how much knife you get for the price...

it should be here today or tomorrow? Anyways until then I borrowed these pics, had to have a beaver for the EDC.

I think you must have scored the last unserialized one out there.

Those beaver shields kind of grew on me over time, as I wasn't enamoured with 'em at first. I now think it's of the coolest shields GEC makes.

My most favorite of the series is the jigged wenge wood 53 Furtaker Trapper.

I'd actually like to see them use more wenge wood.

I think with the streaks... It's ok to have some of the coal black, if you look at the Cody jack pics I have up that ebony is jet blaaaack!

I think I have some other ones dark as well...

Thanks Jon, the sleeve is one of the GEC small sleeves that I conditioned with mink oil.

It's actually for another carry I have but was using it temporarily.

I did some custom work to my #36 in bloodwood today & thought I'd share.

I buffed/polished the blade front, back & spine, bolsters, end caps, back of the spring.
Also I buffed out the tidioute acid etch on the front side of the blade.
It's been raining here and a lot of cloud cover hopefully you can see the results.

I am pleased with the results... I think I will do this to all my EDCs. Lemme know what ya think?

oh and I polished/buffed the hotdog shield.
