Ended-Round 3 of johnnierotten auctions- Bulldog Anglo-Saxon
This is the third set of auctions for Johnnie Sample's (johnnierotten) widow Lisa. The money raised will all go to Lisa to help her with her expenses. In the last round of auctions we raised $975 for Lisa. I would like to see AAPK hit $1000 or more this time!
The object of course is to raise as much money as possible for Lisa to help with her expenses.
We will have 5 knives up for auction this week, bid early, bid often but bid to win!
Here is how the auctions will work:
I will list the knives in the order in which I receive the pic of the knives via PM. The sellers have these knives and will mail them to the winner of each auction when it is confirmed that the payments have been received. If you want to include a $5 bill with your payment for the seller to help with the shipping, I have no doubt it would be appreciated.
1) When a winner has been declared for each auction, I will notify the winner with the address of where to send the payment.
2) For the sake of simplicity and security we are asking all payments be made by money order or and made out Pay To The Order Of: Lisa Samples.
3)New for this round is the ability to pay via PayPal. If you elect to pay via PayPal, please tell me when the auction is over & I will send you the PayPal email address for your payment.
4) When I have received the money order for the auction, or have been notified that they payment has been completed by PayPal, I will notify the seller and give him/her the winner’s mailing address. At that point the seller will mail the knife to the winner.
5) At the conclusion of each set of auctions I will forward the money orders to Lisa.
In this auction we have knives donated by two former AAPK Moderators. Both are still members of AAPK and I know they pop in from time to time to see how we are doing but don't post as much as they used to.
This Bulldog Anglo-Saxon knife is donated by Darrell Hukkanen (Hukk).
Darrell sent me the following info on the knife:
“This is a Bulldog Brand Celebrated Anglo-Saxon knife with Buffalo Horn handles. This knife is 1 of 60, was made in 2002 (5th generation) and has the double dog head tang stamp. It is 5 ¼ inches closed and 8 7/8 inches open.” If anyone has questions about the knife post them here and I am sure someone will be able to answer them.

When The Auction Ends
It was suggested last auction that more money may have been generated for Lisa if the auctions had lasted for one week. I think that is worth a try, so this auction will end at 12 Noon, Pacific Time Friday July 12, 2013, if there have been no bids within 1 hours of that time. If there have been bids, the auction will continue until such time as there are no bids for 1 hour. At that time the high bidder will be declared the winner.
Payment by money order or PayPal only please.
Make the money order payable to Lisa Samples.
Upon receipt of payment the knife will be shipped.
I want to say a personal word of “Thanks” to all the AAPK members who donated their knives for these auctions to remember Johnnie and to help Lisa. Also I would like to say “Thanks” to all of the AAPK members who are bidding on these knives.
The members of AAPK are the heart & soul of AAPK. It is because of your care and concern for one another that we are known as the “Friendliest knife forum on the web.” Your friendly attitude and genuine concern for each other makes this forum unique in the knife collecting world and makes it a place where people can form lifelong friendships as well as a place to share info and trade knives.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank each of you for being a member and thank you for the contributions you each make to the AAPK family!

I had intended to run the auctions until Monday, but I inadvertently put in the end date for the auction on the 12th.
My apologies to everyone
and my congratulations to the winner Quick Steel!
I will be contacting everyone later with payment info later as soon as I figure out my new computer with Windows 8.

Hukk,
I received your donated knife and it is terrific. Absolutely gorgeous. To say I am pleased is hardly adequate.
Moreover I have not acquainted myself with the Bulldog label. That is about to change.
Thank you very much.

I got Johnnie started on the bulldogs. I bought a broken chain pattern bulldog at a swap meet, I brought it back to where we were set up and Johnnie talked me out of it. He continued on to collect 11 in the broken chain pattern that he put in a display

You're welcome. I'm glad you like it. The Bulldog knives with natural materials for handles are some of my favorite Knives. Enjoy!Quick Steel wrote:Hukk,
