ENDED-Round 2 of johnnierotten auctions- Buck 303

Post by orvet »

This is the second set of auctions for Johnnie Sample's (johnnierotten) widow Lisa. The money raised will all go to Lisa to help her with her expenses. In the last round of auctions we raised $745 for Lisa. That was outstanding! I hope we can raise even more this time!

Of course the object here is to raise as much money as possible for Lisa to help with her expenses.
We will have 5 knives up for auction this week, bid early, bid often but bid to win!

Here is how the auctions will work:

I will list the knives in the order in which I receive the pic of the knives via PM. The sellers have these knives and will mail them to the winner of each auction when it is confirmed that the payments have been received. If you want to include a $5 bill with your payment for the seller to help with the shipping, I have no doubt it would be appreciated.

1) When a winner has been declared for each auction, I will notify the winner with the address of where to send the payment.
2) For the sake of simplicity and security we are asking all payments be made by money order and made out Pay To The Order Of: Lisa Samples.
3) When I have received the money order for the auction I will notify the seller and give him/her the winner’s mailing address. At that point the seller will mail the knife to the winner.
4) At the conclusion of each set of auctions I will forward the money orders to Lisa.

This knife up for auction is from Ray Roe (Paladin).
This is the classic Buck 303 stockman. Probably one of the most well known of Buck's slipjoint knives.
Many of us have had one or more of these and they are great user knives!
Maybe not the most expensive knife in this set of auctions, but arguably one of the most dependable!
Great knife for the auction! Thanks Ray! ::tu::

If anyone has questions about the knife post them here and Ray can describe it in more detail.

When The Auction Ends

This auction will end at 12 Noon, Pacific Time Friday June 28, 2013, if there have been no bids within 1 hours of that time. If there have been bids, the auction will continue until such time as there are no bids for 1 hour. At that time the high bidder will be declared the winner.

Payment by money order only please.
Make the money order payable to Lisa Samples.
Upon receipt of payment the knife will be shipped.

I want to say a personal word of “Thanks” to all the AAPK members who donated their knives for these auctions to remember Johnnie and to help Lisa. Also I would like to say “Thanks” to all of the AAPK members who are bidding on these knives.

This auction is over. The winner is Dave (knowstracks)! Thanks Dave! ::tu:: ::tu::

I will be sending a PM to the Dave and he will send a money order to me and I will send all the money orders on to Lisa when I have received them for all these auctions.

Once again I am astounded by the generosity of our AAPK family! I know everyone is not in a position to be able to give with such enthusiasm but when we all work together it is quite sensational what we can accomplish!
A big AAPK THANKS to the donors and to the bidders. It takes both to make the auctions successful!
Thanks everyone who participated in this round of auctions! You guys have blown me away! We raised $975 for Lisa in this round!

Because of the Forth of July holiday we will not have any auctions this next week, but will resume the auctions on Monday July 8th. I will be out of town for part of the week and I imagine many of you will be doing things with your families as well. Have fun, drive safely and may the Lord bless each of you with traveling mercies!

Come on back for the next auctions on July 8th!
