How to sell??

Howdy all, new here and looking for advice. I've got a knife collection I need to sell. I got in to Cowboy Action shooting so now I need to pay for some guns. What is the best way to sell the whole bunch?? Consignment on AAPK, consignment on e-bay or list them in classified.?? Mostly modern all new in box pocket knives, case, queen, robeson, boker, remington, hen & rooster and so on. Don't want to piece them, would like to sell all at once. Ain't looking to make no fortune just hope to get back bout what I got in em. Never sold a knife before so I'm clueless. Thanks a plenty.

hey jefro, too bad you're gettin out but we all have priorities. you might make a detailed list, make, pattern, year made, etc. and post in our advertise for sale section or talk to bryan about consignment. best money would be to sell individually on ebay. you'll make a little less, or more, selling as a group. good luck.

Thanks Jonet, kinda what I figured. I've built a light tent and started documenting them. I'll get a list to Bryan too.

I'll second Johnnies advise that you will do better selling your knives individualy instead of as an entire lot. I say this from experience ::nod::

I'll add my 2 cents also, but these guys are knowledgable about sales. You do stand to lose a huge amount of money by doing a lot sale. How much? Well there are some that buy lots and then sell them individually and they make enough to make a living. Not plush, but they get by.

Have to agree, you will lose alot of money selling as a lot compared to individual sales. I would love to see what you have to offer!

How long ago did you buy them? Hopefully they have went up in prices since then. One of the dealers might be able to buy them from you, if there is enough room for a little profit. Best of luck selling them.

Thanks guys, guess I knew the answer, but I figured better to ask those in the know. I'll post some pictures when I learn how to use the light box a little better. I'll send a list to bryan to see about the consignment deal, I just ain't got the patiance to do the e-bay thing. Thanks agian for the advice.
