Ended-Auction for johnnierotten Case 6445R

Post by orvet »

Since the passing of Johnnie Samples (johnnierotten) several members have said they would like to auction off a knife and give the money to Johnnie’s wife Lisa. I volunteered to run such an auction if the person would PM me with the info & pictures of the knife.
So far I have received PMs from 12 different people wanting to donate a knife to auction. I expect there will be more PM as well.

I intend to run these auctions about 5 at one time. In the past I have observed that if we run more than 5 auctions at one time, then the auctions take money away from one other. Of course the object here is to raise as much money as possible for Lisa to help with her expenses.

Here is how the auctions will work:

I will list the knives in the order in which I receive the pic of the knives via PM. The sellers have these knives and will mail them to the winner of each auction when it is confirmed that the payments have been received. If you want to include a $5 bill with your payment for the seller to help with the shipping, I have no doubt it would be appreciated.

1) When a winner has been declared for each auction, I will notify the winner with the address of where to send the payment.
2) For the sake of simplicity and security we are asking all payments be made by money order and made out Pay To The Order Of: Lisa Samples.
3) When I have received the money order for the auction I will notify the seller and give him/her the winner’s mailing address. At that point the seller will mail the knife to the winner.
4) At the conclusion of each set of auctions I will forward the money orders to Lisa.

This knife is donated by Mike (vikingdog), Mike said the Case 6445R was Johnnie’s favorite pattern. This one is a Case XX 7 dot from 1973. Never used or sharpened. Minor rubbing from storage and handling over the years but otherwise like new.

Now most of you know I ain’t a Case collector, but I will buy them for using if I see one I like. ::hmm:: I think I like that one.
Y’all better get to biddin’ or else I am gonna go broke!

When The Auction Ends

This auction will end at 12 Noon, Pacific Time Friday June 21, 2013, if there have been no bids within 1 hours of that time. If there have been bids, the auction will continue until such time as there are no bids for 1 hour. At that time the high bidder will be declared the winner.

Payment by money order only please.
Make the money order payable to Lisa Samples.
Upon receipt of payment the knife will be shipped.

I want to say a personal word of “Thanks” to all the AAPK members who donated their knives for these auctions to remember Johnnie and to help Lisa. Also I would like to say “Thanks” to all of the AAPK members who are bidding on these knives.

I've got one of these, but if you collect knives you know one is never enough - $75.00
